Coober Pedy Country Fire Services continues to provide an essential emergency service staffed totally by volunteers.

  • Emergency Fire & Vehicle accidents
  • Supports the Mine Rescue/SES unit at Mining accidents 

Coober Pedy Mine Rescue/SES Squad continues to serve the community in emergency situations solely by volunteers.

  • Mine Rescue emergencies
  • Provides knowledge and support to SAPOL relating to Mining incidents and missing persons
  • Supports the CFS at emergency situations and accidents

SA Ambulance, Coober Pedy From 2009 – 2010 paid Ambulance Officers provide the 24/7 Emergency Services to Coober Pedy whilst volunteers continue to provide emergency services in outlying communities.  Staff and volunteers are supported by a Regional Team Leader (Paramedic) who visits regularly providing ongoing training and support.
