The Coober Pedy St Johns Ambulance officially opened a new Ambulance shed in December 1984. The Shed was located alongside the Community Health Centre. Training was conducted in the Community Health Centre in what had been the Hospital Dining room. The original Ambulance shed was dismantled leaving the cement slab as a reminder of the first Ambulance shed’s original location.
